Join in for a walk and talk to discover the green parts of Eindhoven. Or rather, the yellows, oranges and browns of fall.
Our route will take us through Stratumse Heide, located on the south side of Eindhoven. It consists of heathland and a former drifting sand area that was planted with Scots pine in the 1930’s. The paths are very winding and there is a lot of variation between forest and heath. The area is grazed by some Highland cattle.
The walk will be around 6 km and is an easy paced non-competitive walk lasting about 2 hours. Our stroll will be on designated paths, so you don’t need to be an experienced hiker to be able to join in.
Please bring your own water or other drink and some snacks to enjoy. Only in case of heavy rain or storm will the walk be cancelled.
We´ll meet up at the parking area of the Heezerweg / Hazenloop crossing.
If you’re coming by public transport: the closest bus stop is “Kanunnikensven”, Bravo line 12 going to Gijzenrooi.
Please keep in mind the coronavirus / COVID-19 guidelines as set by the Dutch government. Be mindful of your own and other people’s protection and feeling of safety and comfort.
Do you or one of your household members have cold symptoms, shortness of breath and/or elevated temperature? Or, have you visited a ‘high risk’ (orange/red) country? Do NOT join the event, avoid social contacts and get tested.
