RSVP ettiquette

In the Gay & LesBian Social group we take our RSVP´s serious. It means that if you RSVP ¨YES¨ that you will definitely be there. Members of the group and Organizer crew will be looking out for you to join the Meetup.
If there are limited spots for an event or if reservations have to be made, we might ask you to reconfirm your spot or pay ahead to make sure you will attend.
After each Meetup we take attendance, people that showed up will be checked in, others will be marked ¨No-Show¨.
In case there is a waiting list for an event with limited spots, loyal members with higher attendance records can be moved up on the list in favor of member with low attendance records.

Please don´t just show up at an event if you haven´t RSVP-ed, this is very unsettling for the event host and the other members.

Gay & LesBian Social Meetup group offers a safe environment to hang out and meet other LGBTQI people. If a member or an Organizer feels that in any way the safety of the other members is in danger or the atmosphere gets unpleasant. Please contact a member of the Organizer crew or send an e-mail in case of un-pleasentness. If an event is hosted at someones home and it is your first Meetup we will ask you some questions and we will ask you to provide a recognizable profile picture, we also might ask you to come to a more general Meetup first so we can get to know you.

Also we are a Social Meetup group if random Meetup members contact you with chat-up messages that you might feel uncomfortable about.Unfortunate to say this is a big problem in a lot of Meetup groups. Please report any unsolicited messages to the Organizer via e-mail.
In case of uneasy-ness or in case there is a safety issue at stake we have a zero tolerance policy and we will remove the member.
