From Dieren to Velp. With hills(!) and woods.
Both start and end points are NS train stations.
This is one of the oldest and most popular NS walks. That says enough. Purple moors, stately beech avenues, wide view from the Posbank.
The route takes you right through the Veluwezoom National Park. This consists of a large number of estates that have been purchased by Natuurmonumenten. First you walk through the hilly Onlozen Bosschen, which used to belong to the hunting grounds of the Princes of Orange. You have to climb and descend quite a bit on this part of the route. Then you will discover the impressive heathland at the Posbank and the Zijpenberg.
